From CV to relevant jobs: building MzansiWorks My Matches

How we turned a saved career profile into a mobile-first workspace that prioritises new circulars while keeping earlier open opportunities visible.

The problem was not “show more jobs”.

When a candidate saves a CV-derived profile, the useful question is not how many vacancies exist. It is which open vacancies deserve attention first — without hiding older opportunities that may still be relevant.

That led to a workspace model with two priorities: put the newest circular in front, and keep earlier open circulars available in a clearly separated structure.

Interface walkthrough: search, score filtering and circular grouping are designed around mobile job discovery.

The CV becomes a reusable career profile.

The workflow starts with a CV upload, but the CV itself is not the product experience. The valuable output is a user-reviewed profile containing qualifications, skills, experience and career background that can be reused across the workspace.

Matching should support discovery, not make a hiring promise.

The score is presented as profile fit. It helps order attention, while the vacancy page remains the source for mandatory requirements and application instructions.
